Who is Karla Evelyn?

I’m sure no one who knew me 20 years ago would have guessed I’d become a yoga teacher. Maybe they would! My search for inner peace and physical well-being took me down a path that changed my perspective on life and brought me first to yoga practice, then to teaching yoga.

I never considered that 15 years as an elementary teacher would be so helpful in my yoga practice. Working with different personalities, ages and abilities, I had to respond to the unexpected every day. Living in Washington D.C. for six years also forced me to adapt to environmental, and cultural differences. I apply those experiences to my yoga teaching style by acknowledging that each student is different. For real, for real. With in-person students, this may mean hands-on adjustments. Whether in person or online, all students learn how yoga props, tools and techniques can make your entire yoga practice more accessible.

Spread love! Namaste.
